Tonya R. Dickerson

Tonya R. Dickerson

President/CEO/Founder


Tonya is a visionary who God planted the seed for Visions of Hope in when she was eight years old. God spoke to her heart at that young age telling her she would be a missionary to help heal the hurting nations. Many years later that vision began to manifest when she embarked on her first mission’s trip to the Dominican Republic.  That trip ignited a fire in her heart. Since that first trip Tonya has been blessed to help people through doing missions in not only the DR but in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Greece, Mexico, South Africa, Jamaica, Belize, India, and the United States. Tonya has been able to be a part of freshwater wells being dug, feeding the hungry, providing clothes
and shoes, providing shelter, providing school fees for educating children in Africa and helping to build a church in Uganda.


 Tonya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration -Management and degrees in Economics, Justice Administration from Hawaii Pacific University. She has worked in the Medical Laboratory Industry for 30+ years and continues to thrive in management at a Fortune 500 Laboratory company.

Tonya is an Evangelist and a member of the Ecclesiastical Council at her local church in Durham NC which she is also the Director of the International Ministry.

Monica is a compassionate Registered Nurse whose love for Jesus fuels her passion for service through Visions of Hope. With a heart deeply burdened for both local and global communities, Monica actively supports the mission of bringing hope, healing, and the love of Christ to those in need. 

She enjoys serving at her local church and recently had the opportunity to go on her first mission trip to the Dominican Republic, which further deepened her desire to serve others in meaningful ways through Visions of Hope. 

Through her work with Visions of Hope, Monica continues to live out her calling to love people well and make a lasting impact for the Kingdom. 

Dr. Amy Moon

Executive Director of Medical Missions


Amy is a board-certified general pediatrician and enjoys providing care for children of all ages in

Durham. From a young age, she had a passion for helping others when they were hurt or sick

and enjoyed science and health courses during school which led her to pursue a career in

medicine. In addition to practicing medicine, she also has a passion to mentor students from

under-represented groups, sharing wisdom, insight and advice to help cultivate their minds and

lives to become successful adults. She strongly believes in the saying “it takes a village to raise a

child” and uses any opportunity to sow into the lives of children.

Amy loves Jesus Christ and knows he has planted a seed in her heart to use her talents and

treasures to not only help and treat children, but to share and spread his love with them as

well. Amy is very excited to join Visions of Hope Outreach International Ministries to reach

children in international communities to share the love of Jesus and provide care.

Amy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Clemson University and a Doctor of

Medicine degree from Medical University of South Carolina.

Amy is a member of her local church where she serves as an usher.

Dr. Tonisha Kearney-Ramos

Executive Director of Grants and Fundraising


Tonisha holds a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and works as a clinical neuroscientist in patients with addiction disorders and other psychiatric conditions. She has spent the past 14 years researching and developing treatments for people suffering with severe mental health issues, which has given her a heart for people dealing with addiction, mental illness, and homelessness.  She felt led to minister to them in evangelism and this has carried over into her evangelistic interests since moving to Durham.


Tonisha is passionate about Jesus and loves to get people excited about the things of God! She has a bright personality and loves to share the light and love of Christ with everyone she meets. This has led her to be involved in teaching ministry and evangelism as part of her former church, as well as in her personal life. 


Tonisha is excited about being a part of the Visions of Hope family and the way God is so intentional about aligning people, their gifts, and their passions to carry out His purposes, and believes this is a divine assignment that will bear much fruit and bring much joy and healing. God is amazing!

Brenda L. Tate

Executive Director of Outreach Community Relations

Brenda is a Registered Nurse who has a heart and passion for helping people to improve their life and renew their minds with the word of God. She has been involved in educating children in Africa, providing food for those in Uganda, Kenya and Ghana during the very difficult times of famine during the covid pandemic, and providing shoes for hundreds of families in the Dominican Republic.

Brenda holds Bachelor’s in Nursing from Winston Salem State University, a Bachelor of Religion from UNC Chapel Hill, a Master’s of Divinity Pastoral Counseling, and a Master’s of Arts in Religion from Liberty University.

Faith L. Foreman

Executive Secretary / Director of International Missions 


Faith holds a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mount Olive. Faith has worked in the clinical research industry for over 12 years and has gained a lot of skills in the management of various clients, projects, vendors and teams. 

Faith is a lover of Jesus Christ with a passion to share the love of Christ through missions both locally and globally. Faith first started serving within in the local church in Durham, North Carolina by walking in neighborhoods and praying for people in the streets and providing food and clothes to the homeless. This ignited a growing deep passion to share the gospel, pray and meet the needs of others around the world. 

Faith, went on her
first international missions' trip to Haiti in 2017. The experience in Haiti, then led her to serve in Uganda, Ghana, Dominican Republic and Kenya. Serving in these countries allowed Faith to first pray for the needs of the people, build relationships in the communities, and help meet the needs of the people by providing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, shoes, food and education.

Faith attends Triumphant Church in Durham, NC where she serves, worships and loves to lead both the Outreach Ministry and Intercessory Prayer Team.

Executive Finance Director/Treasurer


Gregory Donnell Siler is a seasoned financial executive with over 30 years of experience in both

the public and private sectors. A Magna Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina Central

University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Finance, Gregory has built a

distinguished career focused on financial stewardship, strategic planning, and operational

excellence.

Gregory currently leads Siler Consulting, where he provides financial consulting services to

small and mid-sized municipalities. Prior to launching his firm in 2024, he served for over a

decade as Finance Director for the Town of Smithfield, NC, managing a $40 million budget

and leading a remarkable transformation of the Town’s financial health.

Before his tenure in Smithfield, Gregory was the Finance Director for the Town of

Hillsborough

Earlier in his career, Gregory spent over a decade in the banking industry as an Assistant Vice

President and Branch Manager at Central Carolina Bank, overseeing $110 million in assets

and leading commercial and consumer lending operations.

A respected leader and mentor, Gregory  is known for his analytical acumen, fiscal discipline, and ability to

restore financial accountability and confidence in government operations.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gregory is deeply committed to community service.

He has served on several boards, including the State Employees Credit Union Advisory

Board, Orange County Education Foundation, United Way of Orange County, and

SERTOMA International.

With a track record of excellence in financial reporting, leadership in both urban and rural

municipal settings, and a passion for service, Gregory D. Siler continues to be a trusted advisor

and leader in the field of public finance.
